Frequently asked questions
It all began with a deep understanding that stress affects everyone - employees, employers, business, customers, families, friends and loved ones.
There are no exceptions and unmanaged stress impacts everything that it touches.
As an employee, a manager, a trade union representative, an enforcer, a qualified health and safety professional, and importantly, a human being, I realised that stress was increasing and was unmanaged - where do you have the conversation, when do you have it, how do you document it, and again, how do you support the person?
All these questions pushed myself and Bren to open The Stress Company Ltd.
Stress is not real!
It is the opposite - it is what makes us produce, strive, thrive and survive.
IF stress is normal, why do I have to do anything?
Stress is normal. Unmanaged stress is not and leads to a multitude of damage that gradually gets worse..
Nobody told me?
Legally, you have no responsibility until you have knowledge.
Why am I responsible, even if I don't know?
Simply - the employer has to create a safe working environment
Why do I have to involve representation and HR?
They each have specialised knowledge, experience and training that benefits each as a basic before being a legal requirement.
